You, Me, and Dupree
At first, I didn't have a clue what this movie was about. All I knew was that is was supposed to be a comedy and that it had funny guy Owen Wilson in it. Now that I've seen it, I'm pretty sure I like it. This is one of those movies that married and unmarried people can get. It shows both sides of the spectrum. Carl and Molly get married and start living together. Carl and Dupree have been best friends for 25 years and Dupree is Carl's best man at the wedding. Molly has a domineering real estate tycoon father who doesn't want to let Molly go. Dupree needs a place to stay. That's the basics of the story. While being funny, this movie shows that friendship can last through anything, even assault. It also shows the resilience of marriage and that getting through the hard times together is better than trying to go through them yourself. I think everyone can relate to this movie, which makes it a good movie to see. Plus, it has a happy ending. You should see it just for that :)
